Bob is a founding member of the IPDA and U.S. Regional Director. I began my stamp collecting career at an early age , as I had the generous uncle who gave me his small stamp collection at age 11. This seemed to be an era for thoughtful uncles. One look inside the covers of this small album and I was hooked for life. Here was a glimpse of the whole world right in my hands. Having grown up in a business atmosphere, my father had started with a small gift shop in Ohio and I watched it grow as I grew up, it was a way of life for me. Many years later I decided to have a table at a flea market in Phoenix,Arizona to clear off the back porch of some of the clutter. I thought, why not take some stamps to sell also. I returned home amazed that I had sold every stamp I had taken out with me. Alas, a new stamp dealer was born By 1974 BC (before computers) I had started an approval business. I always enjoyed talking stamps and helping other collectors so,the next step was working with local schools starting stamp clubs. From the very beginning I always had a great interest in the stamps of Germany. So,although I retired this year as a long time member of the APS, I still retain my membership in the Germany Philatelic Society I will retain my stamp packet business but, after more than 30 years of fun, it's time to narrow the interests. Time to cut back from worldwide stamp dealing to German area only I am proud to be a member of an outstanding organization like the Internet Philatelic Dealers Association.
